JR “Jess” Creaden writes speculative fiction and fantasy for children and adults from their background in anthropology, history, and higher education. Their works have been described as boldly autistic, defiantly queer, and radically anticolonial. Their one short story “The Beyond Within” was selected for production by Tall Tale TV in 2017, and their novels are on submission to editors and literary agents. They’re also an infrequent contributor to various kidlit sites, most recently A Novel Mind.

JR lives outside Atlanta, Georgia, in an artistic paradise disguised as a normal house, with their spouse, dog, and two teenaged angels.
